I am soon going to gain possession of both an iphone4 (wife's) and an ipad (mine). We both use the same account on our mac and at the itunes store. Are we going to have problems with synching our devices to purchased apps if the app is compatible with both? Can we put such an app on both machines using the same copy in itunes? Is there a difference in how itunes handles free apps or purchased ones as far as loading onto multiple devices? In anticipation of the arrival of the two devices, I've downloaded both purchased and free apps. Some of these I want only on one device others I want on both. It occurred to me that I may be creating a headache with the downloads so I stopped. Help here will be greatly appreciated.

You can have multiple devices to one iTunes account. My wife and I both have iPhones and both of us sync to my iTunes.

As far as apps transferring to multiple devices..yup. You can do it. Won't cost you extra at all.

I don't think so. You are asking about separate iTunes accounts?

You can't transfer them, but apparently you can share them with iTunes sharing. I think you just have to turn on app sharing on both machines.

I've tried it with my home and work computers.
I'd love to access my home Library from work.

I think you have to be on a local network to share (If I understand the terminology correctly).
I had an iPhone/iPod App called SimplifyMedia that allowed me to access my home iTunes Library, but I guess Google bought them out and shut down the service.
Really a bummer, cause I used that more than any other App.
