So I try to one-up Papa's cute first birthday cake photo with one of our grandson. I click the "Enter an image" button, choose "enter a non-floating image" or "left-..." or "right-..." or "center-floating image..." and paste in the URL of a picture from my MobileMe gallery (no comments from the peanut gallery, please) and...PRESTO...
...a link rather than an image. I even viewed and copied the source code from Papa's original post and replaced his URL with mine, still to no avail. I am sure I am making some horrible, horrible simple mistake but the effort has cost much effort and time and I am become exhausted from my struggles.
I will keep checking back in hopes of being informed of my total dullardity before the post disappears into the ether where I dare not tread.
*My bookmark only takes me to the "General Discussion" page, not the page where I can choose my pick of 57 varieties of forums.

Sigh...it appears to be a limitation of my understanding of how MobileMe works. I uploaded the original image, a .jpg file, to MM, the ".jpg" disappears from the image name and, as you say, the link just goes to the album.
I guess it is a matter of learning how to use MM properly.
Unfortunately, it's time to go do the ironing. Maybe tomorrow...
Anyway, thanks for pointing me in the right direction to find a solution.

Papa beat me to it. I'm not exactly what you'd call an html wizard or anything (no comments, Reboot), but why must there be a dot before Pictures when accessing that folder? That has screwed me up many a time.
If you click the album then open right click on the image you want and open it in a new tab, you'll get the correct url. Like everything else a about Me.com, the back room stuff is more complicated than it needs to be in order to make the appearance look fancy without any work on the user's part.

The one circled on the right shows that it doesn't have the jpg extension at the end.
edit again: seems you already knew about the jpg part, so disregard the circled red on the right.
And as far as moving it, well...yeah, it'll have to go to it's rightful place. I'll leave it here today so that you can read it. You really should venture out to the other forums. You might find some interesting stuff!
