The first try at using Time Machine to backup the SSD raid on my Mac Pro did not work. I tried several drives - both internal and external. Today for some reason I just thought I'd try, and to my amazement it is working. The external drive I had tried to use would not mount today for some reason. Once I got that fixed by replacing the esata cable, and then putting the original back in - the drive mounted and all seemed well. I wish I could say what I did, made a difference. But I'm not sure. Any ideas, similar experience or comments? I think I may have discovered a cause to a lot of intermittent and strange Mac problems. Ground loops. And cheap peripheral power supplies. MHO.
