Good question. I have both right now, but have yet to use the iPad in a non-wifi environment. My guess is that since Netflix is streaming (as opposed to downloading-then-playing), you'd need a connection (but it would be nice if you didn't) ...
well, that stinks. It would be PERFECT if it was able to play movies without Wifi, that way on roadtrips my son could catch a movie on a bigger screen.
Well, if we do get one, guess I'll have to rip the DVD's like before.

On a regular net connection (my Mini), ABC's streams are very nearly flawless. The only gripe I have is that the ads drop out of full screen and require my interaction to return to full screen after the ads.
