What's the deal with MobileMe wanting to delete my bookmarks?
I synced up Safari/bookmarks the other day with what I wanted since MobileMe wanted to delete those. I had let it sync before not thinking it would delete my bookmarks and replace them with ones I didn't choose.
Now it wants to do that again. Add 1 and delete 25. Where is it getting these settings?? And why can't I tell it NOT to delete those bookmarks?
I don't have the time to tell all the stories. My suggestion would be to choose one source, rebuild the cloud from it, then rebuild any other computers from the cloud.
If that doesn't work wait a while, it's something Apple will fix.
Again I could go on about it, it isn't the most reliable cloud.

One word: Foxmarks, er, now Xmarks. Use them for syncing bookmarks. They have version control, too, IIRC. They can also sync passwords securely ( but I don't hang with that ). Well, don't really use bookmarks anymore either - Bookmarks toolbar has been turned off for a long time now - I do other stuff. But Xmarks syncs my bookmarks automatically anyway - Never notice it, nice, invisible.

Yeah, I like the Cloud better. Imap Gmail, Google calendar ( syncable ), Flickr, MP3Tunes, Dropbox ( nice desktop interfaced secure/public/whatever file storage/syncing/sharing/whatever, Mac, iPhone and other mobile ), etc, etc - Anything, anywhere, anytime, any platform/device, reliable.
