Same here... can't log-in from MacTech, MacNews or AppleCentral in any browser (even after clearing cache and deleting cookies) with forum username and password.
I think it's probably going to require Neil to manually create the username and password for the folks who are having this issue... or just ignore it and be forced to have separate usernames and passwords for the site and the forums - which does not appeal to me at all.
