Nice hint about Goliath at macosxhints.com. Boy this thing makes iDisk almost instantaneous to access. Nice app.

Use Goliath to connect to your iDisk. Use File -> Save Connection As to create a new connection document for the iDisk connection, and save it somewhere on your drive. Switch to the Finder, do a Show Info on the Apple iDisk icon, select the icon, and copy. Navigate to the new Goliatch connection document, click on it (with Show Info still open), select the icon, hit paste. Rename the Goliath shortcut 'iDisk' and drag it into the Finder's toolbar. Drag out the Apple original icon.

Now I have the same one-click Finder access with Apple's stock iDisk icon, but it connects via Goliath with 10x the speed.

I've been using Goliath for a couple of weeks now, and couldn't agree more. It runs rings around Apple's way of connecting to the iDisk, and then sits around relaxing while Apple begins to load the iDisk.

And that's true too.--Shakespeare, King Lear

It's an app that allows you to connect to any webDav server - but much faster than the normal methods like the finder in OSX

[color:red]semicolon dash parenthesis

What is a webDav server? Well I know iDisk is one, but is my verizon web space on a webDav server and can I use Golith?

If not, what are some examples of other webDav servers you might know of? TIA

You would have to either ask verizon or just try connecting with webDav. Mostly webDav is used by web development apps to allow people to edit there pages right from the apps. Schools use it a lot that have many people that want web pages but don't know much about ftp, or other connection methods.

Ryan
