1. Go to /Applications/Now X and run the Now X Uninstaller. You can then choose to delete the app. The downside is that you won't be able to have it launch if you need to get at your data.
2. Another option is to go to Apple's System Preferences -> Accounts and then click on your account. On the right of that window, click on Login Items and then delete Now X Helper from that list. (Don't just uncheck the box. You need to actually remove it.) After that it Now X Services won't launch when you log in to your Mac OS X account.
