Another infuriating feature of X is that if you try and delete a note that is attached to a contact, it asks you if you want to delete the entire contact. NO thank you ... just the note I clicked on here, please? Anyone got any ideas? Did anyone at Now actually try and do any of this simple stuff to see if it works?
"Category Ghosts". When selecting from the left hand panel the categories I want to view, several contacts from unselected categories randomly appear in the list, when they should not. For example ..... when I am trying to view "sales contacts" and it is the only category checked, I get 15 "christmas card" and 25 "home" listings sprinkled around my Sales listings.

Control+click on the note and select Remove. Then it will delete the note and not the contact.

That probable means those 15 "christmas card" and 25 "home" listings have "sales contacts" listed as a secondary category. Open up some of those contacts and if you see "sales contacts" listed in the categories section, delete it.
