I'm using Now Contact 5 on my MacBook Pro, operating Snow Leopard (OS 10.6). I'm trying to export my 2,000+ contacts into a text file. When I do so, I get this error message: "The following error has occurred: -1. Please try the operation again." I've tried ... again and again. I've even rebooted my computer, hoping for better results. The only success I've had so far is in exporting about 10 at a time. Well, doing it that way would take me days to accomplish.

By the way, I just tried completing the same operation on my older Mac, operating on OS 10.4. Same results.

Suggestions, anyone?

Open a new contact file side by side with the old one, highlight all the names on the old list and drag them into the list view of the new file. This will cause all data to be private and links will be broken, but should then clean up any issues and allow you to export to text.
