I've been a member for several months... if you can take advantage of it, it's a great value. If you're like me and you're too busy to even watch one movie some months, you're not sitting too pretty. Nonetheless I maintain my membership because I'm sure it will pay for itself over time.

They just recently opened an NYC distribution facility, so those of you on the East shouldn't have to wait more than a couple days for the DVDs to arrive (instead of the 4-5 days it took coming from CA).

I've had it for about six months and love it. Upgraded to the 5 movies out at one time. Great news that the east coast repository is coming on-line.
I have seen dozens of independent and foreign films that never see the light of day in Blockbuster.
Last night we watched "Haiku Tunnel". Very funny about this "temp" worker in San Francisco who went "perm".
You just browse through telling netflix which movies you have seen and whether you liked them. Then it will give you recomendations. Just cruising through independent films picking off the netflix user's 4 star recomendations.

Paul Morrison ... truth should never get in the way of a good story

My mother-in-law uses NetFlix. Seems to be a great way to rent DVDs. They come in the mail, you have time to watch them, and then you mail them back. They supply the mailers. Of course, she goes out and buys the ones she really likes after she's previewed them from NetFlix.
