Hi,

I am finding Now X contact to be really confusing. Stuff that was obvious before is no longer. (I don't use the calendar)

In the quick contact menu:

1. There seems to be no way now to open the now contact program from the quick menu. Is this true? Or if not, how do I do it?
2. Hitting the plus sign doesn't do anything. What is it for?
3. Is the way to add a new contact from the quick to click on the blank contact entry at the top of the list of contacts?

In the Now contact View:

1. How do you bulk add primary categories or keywords to contacts?
2. How do you remove a primary category?
3. How do you move the category/tag/activity column over to the right?
4. How do you call a phone number with SKYPE?

We'll be adding this feature soon. For now, you can hover over a contact to have its bubble displayed, then click Open Contact Detail in that bubble, and that will take you to the Now X application, displaying a Contact Detail View for that contact.



That is fixed for the 10.0.1 release due out this month. It's used to create contacts from the contact templates. Clicking on the plus button will display a popup menu that lets you select which type of contact to create.



In 10.0.1 you'll add new contacts using the popup menu that will be displayed when you click on the plus button. You'll also be able to control-click in the whitespace to get a contextual menu as well.



You can add or remove categories with the Edit Categories... command. If there is only one category selected in the window (ie, only one checkbox is selected), that will become the primary category. You can add or remove tags with the Edit Tags... command. Both of these commands can be found in the Edit menu.



Each contact or event must have a primary category. You can replace the primary category with another category, but you can't remove it entirely. You can do this in the Edit Categories... window, or in the Detail Badge in the Contact Detail View.



Those views can only be positioned on the left for now. You can turn them on or off with the buttons at the bottom of the window.



Currently that's not supported, but it's on our list of things to add for an upcoming release.
