I have finally upgraded Now Contact to 5.3.2 to enable my Mac OS10.5.5 menu bar to display my Quick Contacts. The list of contacts does show up when I click on the Now Contact icon on the menu bar, but no phone numbers appear. I have to do two more steps for them to show up. How do I get the phone numbers to appear to the right of the names?

Based on my own use of 5.3.2 under 10.5, I'm suspecting that it doesn't work as anticipated. It's hit and miss. On my office system, I do have both name/phone in quicklist. On my Macbook, I can't even get names. It's probably broken and I wouldn't anticipate a fix anytime soon, seeing how resources are geared to getting Nighthawk out the door.
PM Don Norcross. He's a technical contact for Now and might have a work around.

The only work-around I have seen clear this is to uninstall 5.3.x, install 5.2, set the QuickContact preferences, then reinstall 5.3.2 and never touch the QuickContact prefs in 5.3.2 again. Being under Leopard, you need the 5.3.2, so using 5.2 for more than this is not a good option. The best 'fix' will be the release of 'NightHawk', as it is unlikely there will be any further updates to the 5.x.x version at this point. Now Up-to-Date & Contact version 5.2 is available in our software archive:

Yes! Glad I came across this solution. QuickContact is a great part of NOW that I hope is retained or even beefed up in NH. Thanks!
Rather than just a menu of contacts like in NUDC, with NightHawk you have quick access to a list of your contacts. You can see either all of your contacts, or specify a subset you want to view, sorted in the order you want to see them. You can also specify the columns you want to view. The menu is resizable (like a window) so that you can make it taller and wider if you want to show more info (I made it short so the screenshot wouldn't take up much room). Double-clicking a contact takes you into NightHawk. You can also bring up the QuickContact menu with a command key.
We've made similar improvements to the QuickDay menu, which now has a minimonth view along with a list of each day's events and tasks.
The goal for the new QuickContact and QuickDay menus are to give you the power of NightHawk right in the menu. They are real timesavers if you need just a quick peek at information.
