Hello, I am currently running version 4.5 on windows 2000XP of NUTD and have had a problem regarding the creation of PDF's.

An example is, if I create entries for, say, December 2008 and January 2009 and I create a PDF and save it, when I open it up the first month is fine, keeping all the appointment information etc that I have but the second month wipes all the information and resets the date as saying January 1905.

Is there something I am doing wrong or is it just a bug in the system?

Which version of 4.5? 4.5.0, 4.5.1, or 4.5.2, and are you using Windows 2000, or Windows XP?

What are you using to create the PDF? Since PDF is not a native format to the Windows operating system, you would have to be using a third party application to create a PDF file.

Hi there, I am using 4.5.0 and am on Windows XP. The way I do it (if this is of any help) is by going into printer then save as acrobat distiller to the desktop. Is that where the problem lies?

Not being familiar with Adobe Distiller, it could well be. You may want to check the results with something like 'CutePDF Writer', which is a freeware application I found on http://www.download.com and was able to use without problem. Since you are using Now Up-to-Date & Contact 4.5.0, I would also suggest going to our download area and getting version 4.5.2.

Hi, have tried Cute PDF Writer and am updated to the latest version of 4.5 and am still having the problem. Do I need to do a full re-install in case something has become unstable on the computer? We are having this problem on two different PC's, both of the same spec.

1. Make sure both are running version 4.5.2. If not, download it from our website and update.

2. If this does not clear the issue, refresh the Now Up-to-Date program prefs and optimize the local file as follows:

For Windows XP
1) Make sure you know where your primary contact file is located, as you will need to re-select it after refreshing the prefs.

2) Quit Now Up-to-Date and Now Contact.

3) Go To:
C:\Documents and Settings\{your login name}\Application Data\Now Software

[NOTE: The Application Data folder is hidden. If you can't see it please go into Folder Options in the control panel and set it to show all hidden files.]

4) There you'll find folders named Now Up-to-Date Prefs, Now Contact Prefs, and Nudcw. Delete the Now Up-to-Date Prefs and Nudcw folders.

5) Now, Double Click on your original calendar file and make it primary. Open the File menu, select Save As...Save the file as the same name and location as the original. Click Yes to replace the original. This step should be taken periodically to optimize the file. Then link the calendar and contact files together again through Preferences.

Just installed the new updates again on both machines and the problem has been solved! Thanks very much for all your help!
