Hello there,
We're having problems syncing Now Contact to a Palm Treo 650 using Palm Desktop's Hot Sync Manager (4.2.1d) running on a brand new MacBook Pro running 10.5.1. Now Up-To-Date syncs just fine, but whenever it gets time to synchronize Now Contact, the Conduit Manager unexpectedly quits. This happens every single time. By the way, this was working just fine under 10.4.11. Does anybody have any ideas on how to resolve this?

This sounds like an issue I had some time ago. Look in the NC file for odd or 'empty' contacts. The two I had showed up at the bottom of my sort by category/company/last name.
What I found was that there was something corrupted in two contacts I had added on my Treo. I never quite figured out what, as I have never had the trouble again. These two corrupted contacts went down into NC without complaint but were 'empty' i.e. they did not even have a category. From then on, the sync died every time I tried it. Having isolated that it was the NC sync that was causing the problem, I simply looked over the contacts and found the odd entries. I deleted them and then did a one-way sync (NC -> Treo) and viola! problem solved.

Thanks again for your help. I got it working again. I found 3 empty contacts and deleted them. And then, for good measure, I did a trick that used to work for me in the past whenever I couldn't sync Now Contact: I exported the contact file to a brand new contact file. Something between those 2 things fixed the problem! Thanks!
