I'm relatively new to using UpToDate, however our department which I joined has been using the service for years. I'm wondering if a solution to my problem is available:

The issue is this... my schedule is constantly being updated by my secretaries, and may change (and often does) drastically from the morning until I go home in the evening. Often I have afternoon meetings out of the office, and the only way I can get my schedule is to VPN in and get the new schedule. This is a pain as it involves authenitcation tokens and is slow.

Is there any way to either:

a) automate a sync with google calendar (as I use this frequently)
b) sync with iPhone (ideal - but won't buy iphone until I know this is possible)
c) perhaps there is a better option that others are using?

Thank you and I look forward to your response and appreciate you taking the time to do so...

PS: I currently have a blackberry, and would consider keeping this if a reliable sync option exists for this as well...

While Now Up-to-Date can read from a Google calendar, it can not truly sync with one. To read it, you set up a connection just like you would for a published iCalendar.

The coming version, 'NightHawk', will be able to share data with the iPhone as it makes use of iSync and Sync Services. The current version does not.

PocketMac for BlackBerry is the only sync option that will share between Now Up-to-Date & Contact on a Mac and a BlackBerry. Results seem to vary from both by model and installation. Those it works for swear by it, while the remainder swear at it. When it works it seems to be fairly reliable, at least based on the feedback I have heard, but there seem to be a decent percentage of users who have never been able to get it working.
