One thing that happened to NUD 5.3.1 with migration to Leopard is that all the NUD-drop-down choices in the print dialog disappeared, including specifying the number of months to print. Will the NUD 5.3.2 beta deal with that? Fred Emigh iMac Intel Core Duo, OS 10.5.1

Currently, no. I've added this to our bug tracking system as issue NUDC-12.

Fred,
I can't duplicate your issue. Here's a screenshot from a Leopard box in our QA lab. There number of months is there and works correctly. Can you post what you are seeing and/or the detailed steps you are taking?
Thanks!
- Mark

It may be of help to refresh the Now Up-to-Date program prefs, as they contain the printing prefs. Also, make sure the printer driver is the most recent. Here is the prefs refresh:
1. Make sure you know where your primary calendar file is stored on your hard drive. You'll need to know where it is to set it as your primary file again at the end of this process. 2. Quit Now Up-to-Date (if it is running). 3. Open a new Finder window and select Home from the Go menu. 4. Once in your Home folder, go to: /Library/Preferences/ 5. Find the files named com.nowsoftware.nowuptodate.plist and com.poweronsoftware.nowuptodate.plist and move them to the desktop. 6. Find the folder named Now Up-to-Date Prefs and move it to the desktop as well. 7. Launch Now Up-to-Date, open the File menu, select Open, make sure there is a checkmark next to the option "Make this my primary file," locate your Now Up-to-Date calendar file, highlight it and click Open. 8. Open the File menu, select Save As...Save the file as the same name and location as the original. Click Yes to replace the original. This step should be taken periodically to optimize the file. 9. Trash the items moved to the desktop in steps 5 and 6.

Thanks, Don. I tried renewing NUD printer preferences as you directed - same blank result in the printer dialog. The only thing I could not do was install a July 2007 firmware update for the HP 2600n printer. That app says it can only work with a pre-Leopard OS. Looks like I will just have to wait for HP to update its firmware app.
Well, for some reason the print dialog window is just now showing NUD options a month after Leopard was installed. Though Macaroni has been busy in the background doing its daily, weekly and monthly Unix maintenance jobs. Perhaps one of the Macaroni monthly maintenance routines just kicked in and fixed something. Anyway, the NUD print dialog works properly now, and I can wait patiently for Nighthawk. A relief, since I had been migrating towards iCal, cursing its kludgey interface all the way. Thanks, Mark and Don, for attending. I hope to stay out of the way indefinitely.
