Whenever I make any changes to any contact or try to add a new contact, Now Contact can't synch with the server. I get a message of "Error -22050." I'm having the problem on a couple of computers, but other computers are fine. I've restarted the computer that hosts the server. Any other ideas?

Which version of Now Contact are you using, and what operating system is in use? Being that several systems are getting the same error, it would seem to indicate an issue in the Public Contact Server database, but the error is an odd one. It is not specific to Now Up-to-Date & Contact and doesn't seem to be a defined one for the Mac or Windows operating systems. Does it provide any more detail when it appears? And, does it appear in the status line or in an error message window?

Sorry, I keep forgetting to put in the technical info. I'm running NUDC 5.3.1 on various desktop and laptop Macs, all of which are running Max OS 10.4.10. I won't be upgrading to Leopard until NUDC gives the OK on compatibility.
I don't get anything but the message in the status line of "Error -22050" on the server database. It's a quick message, in between "reading from" or "send contact to" the server database. It's like an error -1 in that the machine just keeps continually trying to sync to the server.
We're running the server file on a Mac mini, and the two machines that are causing problems are my G4 with mirrored door at the office and dual-processor G5 in my home office.
I was able to get some contacts to sync by cleaning up bad data in various fields. For some reason, the database has taken to dumping bad email addresses into various contacts, and gibberish into other fields. But there remain about a dozen contacts that generate the error message -- different contacts on the different machines, if that matters. I've done the temp file routine, and isolated each of those contacts individually. There seem to be two common denominators: (1) contacts originally created on my Treo 650, and (2) changes made to the existing contacts on my office Mac (G4 with mirrored door). I use Missing Sync to synchronize my Treo to the dual-processor G5 at home. I get the error message for contacts coming from the Treo through that machine, and for changes made on the G4 at my office. I have reinstalled NUDC on the G4, but haven't gotten around to trying that for the G5, and am reluctant to get into rebuilding the database on the Mac mini.

Thanks for whatever thoughts you have.
Since the issue seems to be linked to the two specific systems, have you tried creating new primary contact files on those machines and pulling all the data back in from the Public Contact Server? It could be something in one of those local files causing the problem. If you try this, make sure the next sync to the Treo is done as an 'overwrite handheld'. That will avoid data duplication.
