Thanks, John, for the information. I'll watch for the new beta and let you know.

We've posted NUDC 5.3.2 beta 3 to the ftp site and updated our Leopard page at:

http://www.nowsoftware.com/support/leopard/

This latest version corrected an issue where Contact and/or Event Servers would fail to start up or would monoplize CPU cycles, leading to degraded performance or crashes. We urge anyone using Leopard to download this latest version.

Thanks!

- Mark

Is there an ETA on a final version of 5.3.2?

I am holding off installing Leopard and an upgrade in my main CAD program on the machines in rest of my office until this is resolved.
I don't have time to tweak everyones computers for know problems and I can not afford to screw up the calendars for the whole office and have people miss deadlines or appointments because the calendar server isn't working correctly.

I am still hanging in there and being patient.
However, it has been over 2 months now!

Good question. But, for what it may be worth; as one of the people who had no luck at all with the earlier beta, I can say I've been running my servers and clients with absolutely no trouble ever since.

I'm sure they're trying to test everything they can to be sure they don't have more trouble after release. At this point, I'm in no hurry!

Hi Henry,

We're generally happy with how 5.3.2 is working out. There are still a couple of issues that are outstanding - namely around leopard server running on an intel box, but the release works for a majority of folks. I would recommend trying it on a couple of systems and seeing for yourself how its working.

I am now down to it.
I have to upgrade the rest of the office up to 10.5 and
I have an Intel imac that is supposed to be the server machine.
I loaded the latest 5.3.2 4 beta and I get the -3263 error still.
I have been putting off upgrading the last machine in the office since November 2007 it is now March 2008.

What is going on?

I must admit reading through the communication I have to wholeheartedly agree with the other users. What on earth is going on at Now Software?? I now have the same -3263 response to my contact server since upgrading to 10.5 and it is now almost the end of April!!!! It's almost been 6 months since this problem was noted on 10.5 and a solution is still not provided by Now. If I left any of my clients hanging that long I'd have not a single client left.

No nighthawk after over a year of waiting, and no real response to a firm delivery.

Now - listen up! You are loosing clients daily. If you eventually release NightHawk and a fix to the Server issues in 10.5 I think your clients will have such a bad taste in their mouths that they won't be interested, or they've been forced to try other options vs. waiting for you, and now find that those options are better than attempting to remain loyal to Now.

Sorry but I am moving on after 10 years of actively supporting your company.
