I suspect I'm missing the obvious, but when I create a new note for a contact, the Title field is highlighted initially. I can tab to the Date field, which defaults to the current date. When I tab again the cursor is gone and I must click in a field. Tabbing again is the same way, and tabbing a third time returns to the Title field.
Is it possible to tab Title > Date > Time > Text Field? Sometimes I change the time from the default (current) time, and I nearly always have information to enter, but I can't use the last two fields without clicking inside them first.
Based on the behavior you describe, I bet you are on an Intel based Mac. In a note, the Tab sequence should be Title > Date > Time > Timer > Text Field. Especially on the Core Duo machines it skips several of these. However, there is a way to restore correct functionality.
Quit Now Contact and then do a 'Get Info'(CMD + I)on the Now Contact application file in your Applications folder. There will be a checkbox beside the text 'Open Using Rosetta'. Check that, close the window, and reopen Now Contact. Now the Tab functionality should be correct.
