Where's the cache?

So, for some reason Firefox frequently loses the ability to play audio from Flash (Youtube, ComedyCentral, etc.) files. I have to constantly re-start FF, and then the audio works fine, for a while. Any clues? 10.6.2 (though the problem has persisted since earlier OS versions), MacPro, via the optical audio-out to a Logitech 5.1 system.
