It probably said do you want Adobe Reader to delete you hard drive on the next restart.
Maybe my spirit of adventure isn't as great as it was 40+ years ago, but it's probably more I really don't like to have to fix my own crap. I would have done Ctrl-Alt-Delete and ended the task instead.
Funny I just had an anomaly installing Flash, another Adobe product. They're new to this software installation thing so we should cut them a break.
