Just a little aesthetic & readability tweak...

I'm thinking it might be good to add 6 - 10px of buffer space ("hspace" & vspace" attributes in the "img" tag in the image float CSS lass) around floating images so that the adjacent text added won't butt right up against the images we place.

This is something that's actually in the UBB code that I would prefer not to touch.

If you can get at the UBB code, it should be a VERY simple tweak.

So simple, in fact that even ***I*** could do it, and be confident about not mucking up the whole shebang.



I'm surprised the UBB code is like that, considering how mature it is. It's pretty much the norm everywhere on the web to include buffer space around images, as a matter of course.

Yes, and then every time that I do an upgrade, it's something that has to be managed. That's the part that I don't want to do.

Shoot, Neil, that part could be scripted, lickety split! It could even be managed with a simple "Find & Replace"—the code should only exist in one or two places in the CSS, that Class which defines image display attributes.

Or...even easier on Neil, you could put text either above or below the image, thereby eliminating the need for a buffer space.

I agree with Sparky , the run around text for images could use some spacing .

Certainly it is a rainy day type of project after all the other tweaking is done .
