"If it turns out that President Barack Obama can make a deal with the most intransigent, hard-line, unreasonable, totalitarian mullahs in the world but not with Republicans? Maybe he’s not the problem."
while i still enjoy the show, i've stopped liking Bill -- the main character. the show feels like it jumped the shark way too soon. sort of like a football team punting on 2nd down. how anyone can stay married to him is beyond my understanding. my wife would've punted me to the curb long before she stood next me on a victory stage.
how anyone can stay married to him is beyond my understanding.
It's a Mormon thing. In order to achieve the highest level of purity and attain the highest rewards in heaven you have to be sealed (married) in the temple in the eyes of the Lord and remain married.. in spite of practically anything. The marriage isn't "till death do us part" but for for all of eternity. Consider that Mormons are a patriarchal society and you begin to see why Mormon women remain married even if it's going completely against their grain... they believe it's in their best interests. Their very salvation may well depend on it.
