So, now that we have a PS3, what are some good games out there?

Also, what are the better movies in blu ray? We rented 2 yesterday: Where the Wild Things are & Bourne Ultimatum. Neither of which are like "wow!" and we don't notice much difference between DVD and BR so far.

I really like LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout HD, and some of the other PSN games like everyday shooter and Super Stardust HD. (those are under $10)

My all time favorite game is hands down Fallout 3. Played it on the PC, but it's on the PS3, and all the downloadable content now is too. Not too expensive now either. Warning, you will easily completely lose an entire year of your life to this game. I played this game from around 10 at night to 3-4 in the morning for months and months on end. I even made the in game likeness resemble me and put "vacation pictures" on facebook to share my wasteland adventures with my buddies who were playing it. (That's my avatar lounging around in a nice robe in my Megaton shack.) I *still* don't think I've found everything there is to find.

Right now on PS3 I'm playing Borderlands, which I'm pretty thrilled with and is similar in gameplay to fallout. Unlike fallout where you can make your character into just about anything, Borderlands has 4 specific characters to choose from with different skill sets. But as you gain experience points you gain levels and get to add to your skills. Plus you can play online co-op and there are arenas you can fight people in.

Burnout Paradise is a pretty fun car/racing game if you like those, and second little big planet. My daughter is playing that all the time, even after a year.

Also, I downloaded Hustle Kings, which is a pretty damn good billiards game. It was only $9.

Edit - blu ray movies that are WOW... Transformers... King Kong... Pan's Labrynth is a really good master. Also ANY PIXAR FILM! Wall•e is incredible looking.

After watching movies so often on Blu ray now, I find regular DVD's to be fuzzy looking, though the PS3 does a good job of upscaling.

Is there a way in LBP to find someone online when you know they're playing?

My son and I are hooked on Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2...we have our bluetooth headsets and we team up with a couple of other guys online and it ROCKS! We really enjoyed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, as well as the original Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Looking forward to Bad Company 2! We are hard core into FPS games.

A lot of the time it's my son, he's been getting good at it, but I do play with him quite often.

To find your friends when they are online you just go to the left moon and click on friends. It shows who is currently playing. Just click on them and either ask to join them, or ask them to join you.

I remember trying to play with you a couple times, but there were network issues. Maybe since they've updated the game several times it'll work better.

I am picking up COD Modern Warfare 2 for $40 and Tekken 6 for $25, both used games.

edit: MW2 was for XBox apparently, which the guy failed to state in his ad.
