Some of us use a PC as a primary system and hate using iTunes to manage the iPhone/iTouch. The easiest way is to download iTunes then use WinRAR to unpack the EXE then run the AppleMobileDeviceSupport package. This will install the Apple registered driver for the iPhone/iTouch so you can use unsupported tools such as iPhone Explorer and such.
Comes in handy for older slower systems and jail broken devices.
