I'm a pretty big user of the Application Switcher, and I love the fact that you can use the scroll wheel on a two button mouse to run through the apps even more quickly than you can with the keyboard. Since I've only been using 10.5 and .6 on my laptop 'till now, I hadn't noticed that Apple, in its infinite wisdom, has made the scrolling feature totally lame in 10.5.
First of all, they've reversed the direction that the switcher goes when you scroll. That's bad enough, but they've also made it so that the switcher won't scroll back through when you reach either end, but stops!
Searching the google nets reveals that at least a few other people were annoyed by this, but finds no resolution.
Anyone here know how to change the behavior of the Application Switcher in regards to the scroll wheel?
Weird, 10.6.2 shows no annoyance such as what you talk about. Using my Magic Mouse, I can scroll in either direction and it continues on at the end...doesn't stop.

Humm I wonder if it's the mouse ?
My Kensington Pilot mouse , I have to push the scroll wheel down until it clicks , then it will scroll left to right . Never really worked , then again I never set it up either .
I didn't know about that Application Switcher 'feature' so I just tried it out in 10.5.8. Scrolling worked both directions using the crappy Apple Super Mouse.

No problems here in 10.6.2 with a Razer mouse. Scroll wheel works both directions and mousing over the up and down arrows (top and bottom of list-I have mine set as list view) also works flawlessly.

Well dang... I don't know what it could be then. It's just a regular Logitech mouse. I'm sure as hell not going to but an Apple mouse, but I really can't imagine that it's the mouse itself that's causing the problem. Could it be some previously unknown preference I'm missing?
but they've also made it so that the switcher won't scroll back through when you reach either end, but stops!
Just to clarify. Do you mean you want it to scroll to the right, then when it reaches the end wrap around to the beginning and keep scrolling, or do you mean when it hits the end you want to roll the scroll wheel the other way and scroll back to the left.
I have a Logitech mouse, 10.5.8, and mine stops at the end, and rolling the wheel the other way scrolls back to the left.

Right, like when I get to the last app at the right, and scroll one more click, it should jump to the other end and the first app listed at the left hand side. Instead, like you say, it stops. Which is stupid.
And again, the direction is reversed. That is, where scrolling down used to send the selection from left to right, it now sends it from right to left. That's not a total deal killer, but the stopping thing is.
