Hi,
AT&T announced this week that in addition to its Charlotte, N.C., test market, the 3G MiroCell hardware is now available in select counties in Georgia, South Carolina, San Diego and Las Vegas.
Is anyone in these markets? If so, we'd like to talk to you about possibly getting one of these so we can do an article in MacTech.
Post something here, or PM me if you live in one of these cities and are a AT&T wireless customer.

Not in the test area, but my lowly LG cell has not had 3G service for several days here in the Tampa Bay area. Not that I use it for that, but it has indicated only EDGE access since Thursday.

Seems to be just my phone. My daughter has the same model and she has 3G. Mine changed when I was out of cell coverage (no signal) on Thursday in South Florida (Everglades). When I got back into a coverage area, it was EDGE and has remained so since, even though 3G is available here at home (and was prior). "Talking" to AT&T about it. It really is not a big deal, since I don't use data via my cell phone. Mostly voice and some text is all I need.

I was looking at that on my AT&T account site. I wonder if that allows free usage of some services that they normally charge you for - like data (I don't use my phone for that - might if I had an iPhone) - since it is using your regular internet connection rather than the cell (3G) connection. Also, I wonder if this is a way for AT&T to offload 3G traffic.
