Umm, WOW. You are a braver man than I. I would have just paid to replace it, but I only own a Touch, not an iPhone. Good for you, and thanks for the pics.
Welcome. I feel totally comfortable doing it now. I sweated it when I turned it on and the touch screen didn't work again! But after opening it back up...the #2 cable actually snapped back in this time.
