Health care lasts a lifetime, a win lasts moments.
I really do wish you had universal health care in the U.S. It would make a difference in so many ways that are so very important.
Just an aside. I went to have my eyes checked recently as I do every 2 years (also get my glasses paid for every 2 years) and was told I have the beginning of cataracts. i made an appt. with a specialist - was seen within 1 month- and was told not to worry but to come back every year for a complete check up.
I don't know how to describe the calm one gets from not having to worry about how to pay for something so important as our health.
Wife just had both eye cataracts done...even with good insurance we had over 5 grand out of pocket expense... sure put a dint in the budget but she can see better now....The Dr's, Operating Clinic, etc all wanted their money up front...I could see some people not getting the work done at all because of the related cost
