It's rare to see boots here in my town, although you do see them once in a while. Cops seem to use them only on cars that have a lot of outstanding tickets. That's probably not what happens in other towns, mind you.

The same in Joisey. You also get booted if you are parked in a no parking zone, towing zone, yellow curb & expired meter.
My county "boots" come in 2 colors, bright red & bright yellow.
