I finally watched part of the keynote that Steve gave to introduce the iPad, and heard him say that the 30-pin connector makes all the peripherals that work with the iPods available to the iPad as well. But there is no 30-pin to VGA or DVI adaptor that I can find, anyway. Does such a thing exist? Can such a thing exist--is it technically possible?

Well. I did hear him say the iPad supported output to projectors ... and the only connector on the thing is the 30-pin. So we'll have to see what that turns out to be.

It would be pretty silly to be able to create Keynote shows on the thing but not be able to put them up on a screen ...

Exactly. If you can't project from the iPad, it's good as useless to me.

Yep, I saw that, Reboot, but then I did a search for VGA adaptors at the Apple Store and nothing came up. Patience, grasshopper, I said to myself.

Those adopters might be release the same time as the iPad .

Maybe Apple is relaying to much on 3rd party developers ? ? instead of it self

I mean , the iPad don't seem to be targeted to consumers or business = sorta like in Limbo

I think this adapter would work. I ordered 2 of them for our tech department to connect our iPod touches to a projector.

er ... neither the iPod Touch nor the iPad has a VGA out or a Component out -- how would you connect this adapter to either device?

Regardless, it looks like Apple will have the solution (at least for the iPad -- and only $29 =)

Which begs the question...
If it works as a 30 pin connector/adapter on an iPad... what's to prevent it from working on an iPhone or iTouch or iPod?
