I've got a 800mz Quicksilver 2002 that has a small circuit card that my old(dead) 733 Quicksilver didn't have, but had the place and wire harness to accommodate it. The small card, about 2.5"x3" sits right in front of the PCI slots at the front of the motherboard. It says Hongkong Telecom on it, along with various other things including a red checkmark logo. What is this card? Thanks.

It's a modem. It also uses the modem filter and plug-in slot on the back of the computer. The computer that doesn't have the modem won't have the modem plug-in slot and filter assembly.

Ahhhh. Thank You so much. A valuable part, indeed. I am currently heavily medicated for flu and infection, so everything is fuzzy, hazy. Like it is for S Palin. I will try not to tech post under the influence.
