Skill comes as much from experience as it does talent. If this kid had the skills to qualify for the Olympics, he also had a measure of experience. Would he have gained more experience over time? Of course. But he did not get into The Games on good looks alone.
This isn't passing the smell test for me. There's a lot of ass-covering and diversion going on here, and it's just too easy to lay it all on "inexperience".
Yep it all come down into where do you draw the experience line .
That is a dangerous sport to begin with - now lets throw some pillars out there was well . Simply if that was a athlete who had ton of experience and the accident happened anyway , would it make any difference ?
Actually, each country sets its own requirements. Maybe he was the only person from Georgia to enter the luge competition?
He would still need to qualify to begin with for the Olympics luge event , so he made that . So Georgia has to meet certain Olympic bench marks to qualify , you just cannot just enter anyone for an event .
