This morning on the drive to work, the roads were like washing boards. I should have taken a picture with my iPhone, but it wouldn't have conveyed the horrible noise and vibrations. Three inches of clear pavement, three inches of solid ice... Good grief. Driving at 30 mph, it was like being bounced up and down repeatedly while trying to keep the car going in a straight line. Good thing the temps got above freezing and the sun came out because the drive home was much easier.
I learned a great technique today for cleaning my windshield from the salt spray from the cars in front of me. Brake really hard when you have to stop to get the snow melt from the roof to dribble down onto the windshield and then turn the wipers on. Conserving windshield washing fluid is imperative! Sigh, sigh, sigh. I'm so tired...
