Hard to answer. It's in the office. Eric is the one who looks like a combination of surfer dude & geek... the one with curly blond hair & dark glasses. He's holding it in his hand and referring to it. You never get an actual closeup of the device. There were at least two shots like that.

I feel the same way. Parts of it I like in spite of some of the really bad acting. (Nothing will ever be as bad as CSI Miami, and it just astounds me that that's still on.) Can't somebody PLEASE write better lines for Linda Hunt and coach/direct her better? She's really done good work in some of her movies, but here she's contrived. I think the second string of actors are better than the leads... although LLCJ is fun. CO'D is far, far from being anything remotely as good as Gibbs. But in spite of all those shortcomings, I enjoy watching it. And it's fun to see so much familiar Long Beach turf. It's amazing that CBS has so many hits: NCIS, NCISLA, Criminal Minds, CSINY, CSI, The Mentalist (I love that show). Somebody's doing something right at CBS... not in the News dept, but certainly in action dramas.
Hey I happen to like CSI Miami , well over CSI NY and CSI Vegas which both suck to me .
CSI Miami not only use Macs , but have a better story line in the way they (uncover evidence) - sure acting could be better and why does the boss is always staring at the ground ? ? is that to keep his hair du intact ? ?
Anyway to me evidence gathering is real police work - Now I don't think , well here anyway I don't see CSI people and I don't think they are armed let alone allowed to make arrest , thats the job of detectives I think ? ?
I like Criminal Minds : However they are more on (profiling) and far less based on evidence .
I like Millennium ; Similar to Criminal Minds based more on profiling as well , just a bit more creepy .
Criminal Intent ; I like that because its base on the view of prosecutors , is more about the interpretation of the law . Which I find very interesting .
Poltergeist ; Stubbled on that , thought of it as a cheesy knock off the original movie - turned out was a team of Paranormal Investigators -- has some good shows and some really stupid cheesy ones .
Cold case; Like Poltergeist has some really great shows and some that will bore you out of your mind .
Most other cop shows like NCIS and SouthLand yada yada is mainly based on Drama Drama , not so much on police work . IMO
