Quite true. Sweat can be pretty corrosive. It, along with the weather, can also destroy the plastic insulation on the wiring. My first gen iPod headphones pretty much fell apart, just from running with them.

We make waterproof headphones, many people like them for working out because they can be rinsed off afterwards. We have a couple different versions, including some with a balanced armature drivers for high quality sound.
