Are there really no private colleges or universities in Hawai'i, carp?
Well there are some like Catholic schools and the one Obama went too is private (Punahoe) which is the state largest private and the most expensive - As for private universities , would be more like the University of Phoenix type of deals - very small campuses . Simply they rent 1 or 2 floors in a office building . No campus in the real sense of real estate .
All public libraries and all public schools are run by the (DOE) the State Department of Education . All community colleges are state and the University of Hawaii is state and the University of Hawaii (Hilo) campus is state
