Not at all - just wondering
I used to have 4 - 6 foot tall book shelves stuffed with books and on some shelves they were packed double deep . We then got rid of 2 - 6 foot cases and sold the books for 50 cents each at a garage sale , not a single person bought one , then we gave the books away for free , only one person took one <-- Kinda sad
So we had to trash them / recycle , felt like a shame . Of-course I bought all those books way before e-readers .

We've thinned out our books a few times over the years — usually when we had a big move in front of us. But instead of trying to stoop sale them, we'd donate them to a school library.
When we moved back to NYC in 2005, I had six cartons of Communication Arts back issues that I'd been collecting for more than ten years. No place to store them in the new apartment. But a half block up up and across the street from me was one of SVA's buildings. I dragged the cartons across 21st St. early one morning, opened the cartons, and wrote "FREE!" on the flaps. As the students began arriving at school, it was like watching sharks in a feeding frenzy!
