I tend to agree , I don't think it is gonna sell that well like the iPhone did just out from the gate .
I think maybe at the 2nd maybe 3rd refresh then sales will pick up .
IMO
Needs - Con
1 - front and back camera 2 - needs to be able to make conference calls or at lease via iChat video or even Vonage that type of service 3 - Ahh what protects the screen , most netBooks are clam shell ? 4 - No heavy lifting apps - but thats not what Apples intention was to begin with

It isn't intended to be a phone. A built-in iSight would be nice, though. No heavy lifting apps? Not yet, but the iWork apps aren't that light weight. There will be more productivity apps developed.

You could always go cloud base apps like Google - Just not sure if thats a pain to translate to say your main app on a desktop ?
Yes no phone and that , I believe Apple would provide that after customer request . Maybe 3rd refresh ? I don't think if Apple did do a phone thingy , I don't think it would have cut into iPhone sales ? ?

If they get Office apps/compatibility on this thing, that alone will make it the "productivity" tool of choice for a lot of people ...
Yep Heres the usual thing I did at work
We used a (Palm Pilot) that had custom written software . I go out and click off all the tasked that was done . I go out and click off task that needs correction . I go back to my office and launch the custom program on my desk top I go back to the (palm) and launch that program
I then click to (sync) and pray like h3ll . I then click through the desktop program to make sure it all synced without errors
Now if this iPad could do all that in the (field) - would save me a few hours everyday

No that was Palm and Dell -via- Palm cradle
Would have been nice to just click send while out in the field and be done with it - as opposed to have to go back and REPEAT the whole dang thing in the office .
