I don't know. I guess I just need to hold one and check it out. But who knows when they will have it at the Apple Store? It's not even in the online store yet.

Well, let's think about this for a second:
It has to have the ability to get stuff on and off the drive, since at least there has to be a way of getting iWork documents on and off the machine, and those files will probably be too large to e-mail (or something). The 30-pin connector may act as that conduit -- they already have a USB power adapter; I can see where that could xfer data as well ...
Also, John, there does appear to be an SD card reader available already =)
I guess it remains to be seen how easy any of that will actually be ;-)
I expect the update to iTunes to support the transfer of files.

iPad is now at the Apple online store with a video , not the keynote however
Anyway
There looks like there is 3 USB ports on the bottom and 3 more on one side . These are what look like (knock outs) for future USB already built into the frame but not installed yet .
So Apple will be adding features at the next refresh cycle .

Yep
Head Line News had their tech reviewer at the event - He got some hands on with it and basically said - Its a giant faster iTouch with some nice refinements - thats about it .
