Crestonetc n00b Registered: 01/26/10 Posts: 1	First of all I am new to the Mac world....I just bought a MacBook I would like to do a back up soon....With out getting into the Time Machine, as I do not have the Time Capsule. I do instead do have a extra 250GB external hard drive that is unused. Is it easy/possible to do a back up with it? Thanks

MacBozo Nut Dood Registered: 04/20/02 Posts: 16605 Loc: Pinellas Park, Florida	Just set it up for Time Machine to use that as the back up volume. Simple. You don't need a Time Capsule for TM. Any attached drive will work. _________________________
