Hello, I'm new here I got on here from the macmod.com acquisition .
I have a october 2008 original unibody Macbook Pro specs: 2.53ghz intel core 2 duo 4 GB DDR3 ram Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT 512MB hard drive 250GB 7200 RPM
I have bootcamp set up with windows CP pro 64 bit and I have the Half Life Orange Box installed.
I'm having problems with it. when I play Episode one most of the time the computer crashes . the screen goes black and there is an oscillating sound and I have to forcibly shutoff the computer and reboot.
how can I fix this?

If so, I don't think you're going to have a lot of luck. 64-bit XP is rather problematic especially with device drivers, which it sounds like your problem is stemming from.
I'd suggest upgrading to Windows 7, or at the very least Vista 64 bit. You can find an OEM disk for 7 on Newegg for roughly $100, but be warned the OEM disks are tied to the machine you install them on.

I had windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on there but it took up too much space (17 gigs) adn I couldn't install the orange box entirely.
also windows 7 was surprisingly slow whereas XP has been fast except for the crashing issue with episode 1
