I guess most of us have been following the rumours about Apple's new tablet and seen concept pix of what looks like an iPhone on steroids. Yet, I cannot imagine a ten inch screen to be comfortable to use.
Too large for one hand, unless it had some kind of handle or serious non-slip covering. And how would one rest it on one's lap or a surface and tilt it, to deal with reflections etc? A built-in easel?
And how about text input? A tactile virtual keyboard? Stylus?
Something a little larger than the iPhone certainly would be nice, because for many of us vintage people, the current screen is too small for prolonged reading. About an inch more all around would be pretty good. But ten inches?
IF Apple is going to introduce the thing, it will have gone through exhaustive ergonomic tests ... but for now, the whole thing is a mystery to me. What are your thoughts?

Katrina is now 15, is two years away from making her "Abitur", which is what finishing the academic branch of high school is called here. Considering that 4 years ago, she didn't speak a word of German, it is downright amazing that she even has a 2 (B) in German. Her essays and papers are always top on contents and only have to get marked down because of some grammatical problems, notably the three genders, which for anglophones are always a problem.
Even as far as puberty is concerned, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter... Single parenthood at my age (62) is a blessing I had never expected.
Yes, life is good!
