the reason everyone doesn't own a mac is because we're all raised on windows. myself i only made the conversion a little over a year ago, but i've since branched to linux as well. the only reason i use windows nowadays is to play some old games.

Except old farts like me who started with an Apple IIc and IIe and moved to Macs. My first encounter with Windows was 3.1 and it was a WTF moment. laugh

My first encounter with Windows was Windows 2.0! You could run 2 apps, but not at the same time - you had to sleep one to wake the other.

I`m running XP on bootcamp works fine ,there are very limited games for mac plus I don`t have to throw away all my old pc games ,having said that not all pc games will work have had some probs (but that may just be my inexperience not knowing my way around)getting some to work properly .
I run AVG free and yet to have any spyware/virus issue.
Plus the one time the mac went belly up on me I could still access windows and get online to sort out the problem. So I`m definitely a fan of bootcamp.

Most games come out on pc 1st and for mac months later.

Same here. Bootcamp is the way to go with most Windows games.

Lol! Isn't it still? My first Mac -a Performa 640 "DOS" Compatible" - ran Windows 3.1. One of those computers only Apple could come up with. If I clicked a certain key combination on the keyboard, it would switch to Windows 3.1. That Performa is still in working condition, just needs a new battery.

If they play some of the more popular games like CoD4.. well I play it on a Mac Pro and it plays just fine. Excellent even.
