So you want an app for your iPhone that tracks where your child goes? And one that tells you what texts they send?
I don't think there is an app for either request. But, why not ask your child? How old is your child? And of course since you pay for the phone (I assume), then you should be able to check their phone for the texts they send.

There is an app that tracks - but her child's phone must be turned on and her child is not supposed to know that it is turn on because she could simply turn it off .
Anyway I will find a link later at the iTunes store - simply its a Social app to find your friends locations .
In addition to al the other cool features of the Mobile Me account...
BTW..the 50 to 100 feet is the result I got at home... you may have better or worse luck depending on the area the iPhone is in... don't expect that 50 foot result if your child is in a mall.....
