Today is Penny's 7th birthday. Party is here this afternoon. Relatives are arriving for this and our annual New Year's family dinner on Wednesday (20+ for that). Tomorrow is Busch Gardens, Tampa with 3 kids and Thursday probably involves the First Night activities in downtown St. Petersburg. My first chance to relax will be January 5th. Whew!

Crazy here, too but for different (if by different, you mean "not fun") reasons. The kitchen is still torn up. Our spending last week on Cayo Costa delayed some tough decisions being made but the R & R was worth it, even if it was a bit chilly the first couple of days.

Latest word is that the counter tops will be in "some time this week". After that, the contractors can finish putting everything back together.

Right now, my plan is to make this lamb shank stew as my first outing in the new kitchen. The same episode of "Tyler's Ultimate" also included a dessert that made me think of you: a Guinness stout float. Gotta taste good and be good for you as well.

The Guinness float sounds appropriate on January 5th - maybe several! laugh
