If you believe the rumor.

Coincidentally, Apple has sent out invites to select media outlets for a Tusday, January 26th event at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, site of the company's music-focused events held each fall in recent years.

The rumor mills are spinning for sure! If Apple can produce a feature rich, well designed tablet at a good price point (I'd guess that it would have to be $699 at most), they will have another market killer.

Well we still need to see it ? ? and rumors galore

If it is just a larger iphone with a 10 inch screen it will bomb big time.

It has to ;

1 - Kick the shiit out of the current NetBooks specs and do more .
2 - Kick the shiit out of the current Kindels and eBooks and do more

I'd love to have one to mess around with. But, I don't think I'll ever want one over my MacBook Pro. Gotta compete with the others though.

Just a crippled laptop that don't make calls like a phone - Sure nice for travel sooooo an iPhone would suit the bill . Go figure

It's got to be the low price.

My prediction is that it'll cost more than everyone would like, do less than everyone will like, and be a huge hit.

What the world really WANTS, is simply an iPhone without the phone. If AT&T would sell just a data plan, and Apple put the phone part in the iPod Touch without the actual phone software, people would love it. I forgot what the figures were, but in some survey done with iPhone users in S.F., they found that something like 80% didn't even use the phone part of the iPhone. They just wanted Internet access everywhere, not just where they could get free WiFi. Do that, and people won't care about the size of the screen, etc.

A data plan only, that would be like pay as you go cable TV, I'd be surprised if it ever happens in the near future. It's what people want, but wouldn't be profitable for the carriers. They'll sell us all the crap we'll never use to get the one thing we do want.

As always though, I'll be interesting to see what Apple comes up with.

No doubt about that though.
