MrB I invented modding! Registered: 08/28/03 Posts: 5172 Loc: SE Kansas	my daughter has an iPod mini. an old one. I guess all of them are old. She says the battery will not keep a charge long. Can the battery be repaced? Can they do it at the Apple Store? dave

They supply all the tools necessary with the battery, and pretty detailed instructions. Took me all of 10 minutes to replace the battery in my old 20gig 3rd Gen with a bigger one. There's a video there showing how easy it is to replace the battery in the mini too. Hint: don't select the largest battery capacity.
