3-4 years ago I posted Apple needs to produce a tablet device that wireless connected to a machine running OS X Server in the house, and everyone said such things were silly.
Spend decent money on the server part, and everyone runs their accounts off it through the tablet, which should be inexpensive so you can add a lot of them. The tablet need only run a Quartz frontend, the OS and apps run on the server.
Apple of course, took my idea and then screwed it up royally
